Vanessa Dugdale has practised as a Family Solicitor since 2000. For the past 19 years she has been in practice in the Lymington area.
Vanessa graduated with a degree in law from the University of Leeds and went on to sit her Bar Examinations in London, passing in the top 10% of her cohort. She was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1996 and then went on to qualify as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore. After practising there for some time she returned to England in 1999. After several years of working a caseload in general litigation, including family litigation, Vanessa decided to specialise in Family Law.
Vanessa has dealt with a wide breadth of family matters, the more unusual and complex include multi-jurisdictional financial matters, the setting aside of Court Orders for material non-disclosure, agricultural assets, Children Act matters with an international element, acting for grandparents in Children Act matters and acting for adult children in maintenance claims against parents.
Vanessa favours a calm, measured and non-confrontational approach, but will take a firm stance when it is needed. She is a confident advocate and thinks laterally and creatively.
Vanessa is married with two children. When not at work, or spending time with her family, she enjoys reading and writing, and is trying to finish the novel she has started.
