Vanessa Dugdale qualified in 1999 and has practised as a Family Solicitor since 2000.  She established Vanessa Dugdale Family Solicitor in September 2012.

Vanessa graduated with a degree in law from the University of Leeds and went on to sit her Bar Examinations in London, qualifying in the top 10% of her cohort.  She was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1996 and then went on to qualify as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore.  After practising there for several years she returned to England in 1999.  After working a litigation caseload in the early years of her career, including family litigation, Vanessa decided to specialise in Family Law and commenced practice exclusively as a family lawyer.

Vanessa deals with a wide breadth of family matters, the more unusual and complex include multi-jurisdictional financial matters, the setting aside of Court Orders for material non-disclosure, dealing with agricultural assets, Children Act matters with an international element, acting for grandparents in Children Act matters and acting for adult children in maintenance claims against parents.

Vanessa favours a calm, measured and non-confrontational approach, but will take a firm stance when it is needed.  She is a confident advocate and thinks laterally and creatively.

Vanessa is married with two teenage daughters.  She lives in the New Forest and in her free time she enjoys art exhibitions, the theatre and attempting to finish the novel she is writing.
